This is unbelievable
i’m not so impressed. it must’ve taken a bit of effort to get it right, but there have been plenty of one take film clips - but more importantly there’s Russian Ark, a 90 minute movie shot in one take (well, it took four goes to get it right). And it’s beautiful - with far greater attention to production values and aesthetics (IMO).
what i didn’t know about Russian Ark was that the initiator of the project was adamant in presenting the work as a collaborative piece - you can read a letter he wrote when the DOP was nominated for an award. sums it up nicely.
